Dr. Matthew R. Arkebauer, D.O., M.S., FACR, CCD

Matthew R. Arkebauer, D.O., M.S., FACR, CCD is a board-certified rheumatologist with extensive expertise in autoimmune diseases, arthritis, nonsurgical medical orthopedics, and osteoporosis. He practices at Arthritis and Rheumatology Associates of South Jersey, where he has served since 2016, and holds the role of Vice-Chairman of the Rheumatology Department at Inspira Health Network. He is a Castle Connolly Top Doc for more than five years.

Dr. Arkebauer is board certified in both Rheumatology (2017–2027) and Internal Medicine (2014–2024) and is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD). His practice integrates advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities including onsite X-ray, DXA, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, infusion therapy, laboratory testing, microscopy, and immunization services.

He completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and Larkin Community Hospital, following an Internal Medicine Residency at Rowan University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine and Inspira Health Network, where he also served as Chief Intern. His academic journey includes a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Biomedical Sciences from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Arkebauer’s commitment to research is reflected in multiple peer-reviewed publications, with work spanning thrombelastographic methods, carbon monoxide modulation of coagulation, and clinical case studies such as cerebral vasculitis associated with ulcerative colitis. He has contributed to medical literature in journals including Blood Coagulation and Fibrinolysis, Case Reports in Rheumatology, and Laryngoscope.

He is an active member of professional organizations such as the American College of Rheumatology, the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society, the American Osteopathic Association, and the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Arkebauer is committed to advancing musculoskeletal and autoimmune disease care while mentoring the next generation of osteopathic physicians.

Alyxandra M. Soloway, M.D., CCD

Dr. Alyxandra M. Soloway is a physician specializing in rheumatology, currently completing fellowship training at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Inspira Health Network and earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the American University of the Caribbean. She also holds dual degrees from Boston University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Dr. Soloway has authored and co-authored numerous publications and case reports in peer-reviewed journals, covering topics such as autoimmune disease, rheumatologic conditions, and complex diagnostic challenges. Her work has been presented at major conferences including the Florida Society of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians. She has a special interest in rare and atypical presentations of autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, and her research has explored conditions ranging from POEMS syndrome and IgG4-related disease to lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.

A committed educator and leader, Dr. Soloway has served as a teaching assistant in anatomy, ultrasound, and clinical medicine, mentoring peers and contributing to innovative training programs. Her leadership roles include serving as President of the American Medical Student Association and as a board member for multiple student organizations.

She is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology, the Association of Women in Rheumatology, and the American College of Physicians. In addition to her academic and clinical work, she has participated in global health initiatives and community service, including breast cancer and diabetes screening events in St. Maarten.

Dr. Soloway is dedicated to advancing the field of rheumatology through clinical practice, research, and patient-centered care, with a focus on complex autoimmune diseases and innovative therapeutic approaches, and a reputation as a pioneer in thyroid disease.
