Behçet’s Syndrome

Behçet’s syndrome is a rare, chronic inflammatory disorder that causes blood vessel inflammation (vasculitis) throughout the body. It is best known for recurrent painful mouth and genital sores, along with eye inflammation, but it can also affect the skin, joints, blood vessels, digestive tract, and nervous system. The cause is unknown, and symptoms tend to come and go in flare-ups over time.
